Specification

What you are actually buying

Construction
Full-coverage embroidery on a heat-sealed twill base. Thread covers the backing edge to edge, so no cloth shows through the design.
Edge
Merrowed overlock border wrapping the perimeter. It is the raised rope edge you can feel on a real patch, and it is what stops the thing fraying after a season in a pocket.
Backing
Hook-and-loop (Velcro) as standard, included in the price. Iron-on and plain sew-on are available at no change to the price if you ask.
Sizes
2in to 5in on the longest edge. Most morale patches land at 3in or 3.5in.
Shapes
Circle, square, rectangle, shield, tab, or die-cut to your outline. A merrowed edge needs a convex shape; sharp interior corners get softened slightly.
Artwork
PNG, JPG, SVG, AI, EPS or PDF. A phone photo of a napkin sketch is genuinely fine; we redraw it either way.
Minimum
25 pieces per design.
Lead time
2 to 3 weeks in production from the day you approve your proof, plus 3 to 5 days in transit.

How it runs

Sketch to shipped

  1. Send the design

A vector file, a screenshot, or a photo of something drawn on the back of a training schedule. All of it works.

  2. We digitise it

The artwork is redrawn as stitch paths and matched to real thread colours. This is the step that decides how the patch actually looks.

  3. You approve a proof

You see the digitised patch with every simplification called out. Nothing is charged and nothing runs until you say go.

  4. It ships free

Two to three weeks on the floor, then USPS tracked delivery with the number in your inbox.

Who orders them

What they usually end up on

Unit and shop patches

The in-joke that only works if you were there. Section mottos, deployment tallies, the nickname nobody chose for themselves.

Events and exercises

A run tied to one exercise, competition or course. Small quantities are the point here, which is why the minimum is 25 and not 250.

Range and club patches

Shooting clubs, airsoft and milsim teams, EDC and knife communities. Anything where a loadout has a loop panel waiting on it.

Questions

Before you order

What is the minimum order for morale patches?

25 pieces per design. There is no setup charge and no separate digitising fee, so a run of 25 costs what the table says it costs and nothing more.

Can you match a specific colour?

Yes, within the limits of thread. We match to a real thread range rather than to screen colour, so a value can shift very slightly to land on a stock thread. Anything that moves noticeably is called out on your proof before production, not after.

How much detail survives embroidery?

Less than people expect, and this is the honest part. A stitch has width, so hairlines, small text under about a quarter inch, and fine gradients get simplified. We redraw the artwork for thread and show you exactly what was simplified on the proof.

Do I own the design?

You do. We keep your digitised file on record so you can reorder from your order ID, and we do not sell or reuse your design.

Can I get a sample before committing to the full run?

The proof is the sample. Nothing goes to the production floor until you approve it, and if the finished patches do not match the proof you approved, we remake the order or refund it in full.
